Title: Senior Translator – ArianaNews

Duty Station: Kabul

Experience: Minimum 2 Years as Senior Translator from Dari / Pashto to English.

Salary: Negotiable

MAIN DUTIES-

The incumbent will Serve as senior translator for Ariana Television Network. Incumbent will proofread and translate News from Dari and Pashto to English and vice versa. S/he is required to supervise other Translators and ensure daily news is ready.

QUALIFICATION-

Education:

Formal Education (or equivalent experience) in English Language.

Experience:

Two years proven working experience as Senior Translator.

Computer Skills:

Must have a good working experience in using Microsoft Office Programs; especially Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

Knowledge:

Must be familiar with various News and current affairs terms and vocabularies.

Abilities and Skills:

Have good communication and inter-personal skills

Be able to work under pressure

Be initiative and result oriented

Be able to meet the deadlines and prioritize his/her work well
