Shortage of health workers in military hospitals

Army officials in northern Afghanistan say:

The military forces are facing many difficulties due to shortage of health workers in military units.

Gen. Zulmai Wisa commander Shaheen Corps 209 says:

The military command areas have been extended but health workers and medical equipments have been insufficient and because of these problems army soldiers could not have access to health services that are injured during army operations.

According to ATN reporter M. Basheer Ansari:

Seventh health conference was held in Mazar City by Afghan Defense Ministry. The conference was aimed for better health services for Shaheen Corps.

In the conference Gen. Zulmai Wisa commander Shaheen Corps 209 said health facilities are poor for National Army soldiers in the northern Afghanistan.

He added:

The current organization of health workers and medical equipments in military hospitals can not full fill the needs army soldiers.

He demanded National Defense Ministry to solve the problems of limited access to medical services of the National Army soldiers.

He also demanded for adequate supply of medicines and health workers at the military hospital of North Afghanistan.
