The quality of education in Afghanistan universities is unacceptable, Officials said.

Mohammad Osman Babori, acting minister of higher education confessed that they have failed to monitor private educational institutions in providing the required educational services.

Educational qualities are not acceptable, it is inappropriate, learning is limited to teaching in Afghanistan and it is not academic yet,” Babori said.

Ministry of higher education (MoHE) has developed a strategic plan for the second time to guarantee the quality of education in governmental and non-governmental universities in the next five years.

Officials further worries about lack of girls and women interest in higher education due to insecurity and shortage of immune accommodations.

Fred Manwarren Hayward who is advisor for MoHE said,” the number of female students have decreased, because there is an increment in male numbers and it happens due to insecurity and shortage of dormitories for girls and women”.

In addition, Afghan students complain about the quality of the current curriculum systems.

The quality of education is very low, it requires a serious revision,” Araf who is a private higher education student said.

Ahmad Jaan who is a medical student in He-rat university said,” the current situation in governmental universities is inappropriate and it must be standardized”.

Thousands of Afghans are graduating from governmental and private institutions annually, but there are no employment opportunities.
